(International Pasty Festival)
Real del Monte, Mexico Mid-OctoberFestival Internacional del Paste is an annual festival celebrating the pasty, that has been held in October in Real del Monte, Mexico since 2009. For three days the streets are filled with shops where visitors can enjoy this traditional dish made of pastry which is filled with beef, sliced or diced potatoes, yellow turnip and onion, seasoned with salt and pepper, and then baked.
The highlight of the festival includes making and baking the largest pasty in the world.
