"The restaurant to try this dish is El Peñascal. Turkey is one of those meats that you need to season well because, by itself, it doesn't have much flavor, and Peñascal succeeded. The broth was delicious, and tell me who doesn't like to accompany a broth with tamales, simply delicious."

"This is the reference in Cobán for what is known as "comida tipica". It is a proud place that puts forward what authentic Mayan dishes are and cherished by Guatemalans who live and eat without much external influence. The richness of pre-Columbian flavours absolutely peak in a dish that also recalls the soft spot many have for comforting stews/hearty soups."
