El Esteco Fincas Notables Malbec is a red wine from the Cafayate Valley in the Salta region of Argentina. This wine is made from 100% Malbec grapes and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. It has an intense dark color with purple highlights. The aroma is rich, dominated by red fruits, spices, subtle smoky notes, and hints of tobacco.


On the palate, it is full-bodied with soft, ripe tannins and a long finish. It pairs well with red meats, paella, jamón ibérico, tortilla española, chorizo, and fabada asturiana. The recommended serving temperature is 17-18°C, with prior decanting.

About El Esteco

Bodega El Esteco is a winery located in the heart of the Calchaquí Valley, in Cafayate, Salta Province, Argentina, at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level. It was founded in 1892 by French brothers David and Salvador Michel, along with David's wife, Italian Gabriela Torino.


Today, El Esteco is one of the most important wineries in the Calchaquí Valley, with approximately 1,000 hectares of vineyards. The high altitude, abundant sunny days, and significant temperature variation between day and night create ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes.
