Don Melchor is a Chilean wine brand with a rich history and a reputation as one of the most prestigious wine producers in the country. Its story began in 1883 when Don Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro, together with his wife Emiliana Subercaseaux, founded the Viña Concha y Toro winery.

Don Melchor was a pioneer in the Chilean wine industry, credited with importing the first pre-phylloxera vines from Bordeaux and planting them on the family estate in Pirque, in the Maipo Valley. The Don Melchor vineyards are located on the northern bank of the Maipo River, at an altitude of 650 meters, in the heart of Puente Alto.

They cover a total of 127 hectares, with 90% planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% with Cabernet Franc, 2% with Merlot, and 1% with Petit Verdot. The vineyard is divided into 151 parcels, each vinified separately. The average age of the vines is over 35 years, including old vines planted between 1979 and 1992.
