Domaine Zind-Humbrecht's Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain 2022 is an exceptional dry white wine from Alsace, France, crafted from vines averaging 59 years old, planted on steep, south-facing volcanic slopes of the Rangen vineyard.

The unique terroir, composed of sedimentary volcanic rocks, imparts a distinctive minerality and smoky character to the wine. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, residual sugar of 1.6 g/l, and total acidity of 4.9 g/l, the wine showcases remarkable balance and depth.

It reveals intense aromas of burnt peat, spices, green tea, and vegetal oils, while the palate delivers a powerful, dense, and almost oily texture, complemented by a saline acidity and a dry, long-lasting finish. Perfectly suited for pairing with smoked fish, rich poultry dishes, cream-based sauces, and mature cheeses, this wine is a testament to the unique characteristics of the Rangen vineyard and the precision of biodynamic viticulture.
