The 2022 Hermitage Rouge "Le Gréal" from Domaine Marc Sorrel is a distinguished red wine from the Hermitage appellation in France's Rhône Valley. The name "Le Gréal" reflects its origins, combining grapes from the Le Méal (90%) and Les Greffieux (10%) vineyards.

This blend includes a small percentage of Marsanne and Roussanne co-planted with Syrah, enhancing the wine's complexity. In the glass, it exhibits a deep, dark color. The nose is expressive, offering classic Hermitage aromas of meatiness, smokiness, and roasted notes.

On the palate, it is powerful yet surprisingly fresh and lively for a vintage marked by heat and dryness. The wine presents marked acidity and robust, slightly fibrous tannins that will benefit from time to integrate. There is a generous, rich fruit core that promises excellent aging potential.
