Domaine Gramenon, established in 1978, is located in Montbrison-sur-Lez, in the Drôme Provençale, at an altitude of 350 meters, in the northernmost part of southern Côtes du Rhône. The uniqueness of Gramenon's terroir stems from a limestone barrier that was once covered by the sea 86 million years ago.

The pressure of the Alps uplifted layers of sand deposited by tides, along with significant limestone presence, forming a plateau 550 meters wide, while clay was brought in by river systems. Since its inception in 1978, the vineyard has been cultivated naturally and organically.

The first climatic challenges in the 2000s impacted the vitality of the old vineyards, leading to the adoption of biodynamic techniques. In 2010, the estate achieved DEMETER certification. The revitalization of the soil and the strengthening of plants' natural defenses quickly proved effective, resulting in a new energy radiating from the vineyard parcels.
