This original death in the afternoon cocktail recipe is adapted from a 1935 cocktail book So Red the Nose, or Breath in the Afternoon.
1 ½ oz (45 ml) (4,5 cl) absinthe
very cold Champagne
Pour the absinthe into a Champagne flute, then pour in the ice-cold Champagne until filled.
