Chicken-Fried Steak Festival & Balloon Rally has been taking place each year since Lamesa in Texas became ''The Legendary Home of the Chicken-Fried Steak'' in 2011. The festival offers a weekend in the park with plenty of food, live music, races, fun contests and of course, a hot-air balloon rally and the annual Chicken Fried Steak Cook-Off.
