Falstaff - 100

Château Pontet-Canet 2019 is a red wine crafted from a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. The year began with a mild winter, and the vineyard cycle started in April. A cold spell in May slowed growth, but favorable weather with high temperatures followed, allowing the grapes to ripen quickly.

It is recommended to enjoy this wine between 2025 and 2035 for optimal pleasure, though it can age gracefully until 2040 and beyond.

About Château Pontet-Canet

Pontet-Canet's 80-hectare vineyard is planted to approximately two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and one-third Merlot, along with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The estate's half-century-old vines benefit from the gravelly, well-draining Pauillac soil.
