About Chateau des Bachelards

Château des Bachelards is a winery located in Fleurie, in the northern part of the Beaujolais region in France. It was founded by Benedictine monks from Cluny around 1100. The winery spans 12 hectares, including 6 hectares in a single block surrounding the château within the Fleurie appellation, as well as parcels in Beaujolais Villages, Saint-Amour, and Moulin-à-Vent.


Since 2014, the estate has been owned by Countess Alexandra de Vazeilles, a trained oenologist and viticulturist who previously gained experience at renowned wineries such as Château Latour in Bordeaux. The wines from this estate are characterized by elegance and authenticity, often receiving accolades from international critics.
