Bodegas San Francisco Javier is a winery located in Jerez de la Frontera, in the heart of the Andalusia region of Spain. This winery is the result of a collaboration between renowned winemaker Peter Sisseck, known for creating the iconic Pingus wine, and Carlos del Río.
Their mission is to produce high-quality Fino sherries that reflect the unique terroir of the Jerez vineyards. Bodegas San Francisco Javier currently produces a Fino sherry called "Viña Corrales," sourced from the Pago Balbaína vineyard. The first bottling of this wine was carried out in 2020.
Starting in 2023, they plan to begin production of wines from the Macharnudo vineyard. As the solera matures and more of the wine comes from carefully managed parcels, the wines are expected to become even more refined and expressive. This winery is dedicated to preserving traditional sherry production methods while incorporating innovations that enhance the quality and character of their wines.
