1

Blanco Y Negro

LogroñoSpain
Travesía de Laurel
Recommended by John Sconzo and 3 other food critics.
"At Bar Blanco y Negro, we had bocadillos called Matrimonios. These sandwiches consisted of boquerones (vinegar cured anchovies) with roasted green peppers. It was a surprisingly good combination."

Casa Guillermo

ValenciaSpain
Carrer del Progrés
Recommended by El Plural and 3 other food critics.
"Casa Gullermo is, par excellence, one of the restaurants with the widest range of anchovies. Founded in 1957, it has grown hand in hand with the Cabanyal neighbourhood. Its famous bocadillo de anchoas makes the tavern a place of culinary pilgrimage."

Restaurante Solana

AmpueroSpain
La Bien Aparecida
Recommended by Grupo Gourmets
"Today in Solana there is a double offer of traditional and modern cuisine that is admirable in its honesty and far removed from the fatuous fires that still haunt so many travellers with pretensions. Memorable dishes are made with luxury raw materials, masterful bocadillo de anchoa y tomate is in the latest collection of proposals."

Recommended by Inside Rioja
"It’s easy to make. Manolo, the owner of the bar, takes a piece of bread, slices it in half lengthwise, opens a can of sardines and a can of spicy green peppers in olive oil, puts half a sardine and a pepper on the bread, and wraps it in a paper napkin. It tastes delicious with a glass of young red rioja."
