"This renowned spot serves some of the best banh xeo in town. These Vietnamese rice-flour pancakes stuffed with bean sprouts, prawns and pork (vegetarian versions available) are legendary."
"My favourite amongst all dishes is Bánh xèo from Bà Dưỡng. Served with pork skewers, rice paper, I like how crispy the pancake is."
"Ngon provides a plethora of Vietnamese delicacies from all around the country, and some of the recommended must-haves are the 'West Lake' Shrimp Patties, Vietnamese Rice Pancake 'Banh Xeo' and Vermicelli in Soup with Pork Leg."
"I'll never forget stuffing my face with these on tiny plastic stools at Bale Well in Hoi An."
"A better version can be found at the newer Banh Xeo An La Ghien. Its crisp, lacy edges break off with a satisfying crackle, complementing the moist and savory fillings. The key elements, however, are the pile of fresh herbs to tuck inside the crêpe and the giant mustard leaves to wrap the thing in."
"Enjoying rolling your own meal? Head to this local joint for lipsmackingly authentic banh xeo pancakes: grab some rice paper and make an envelope with a shrimp or beef pancake, salad leaves, green mango, sliced cucumber and a dash of chilli sauce, and savour the flavour."
"Mrs. Muoi Xiem’s restaurant now ranks among the most well known in Saigon. So if you are looking for a more adventurous spin to “Banh xeo”, this is a place you’ll not want to miss."
Good local dish, nice extras to make it even more interesting (rice paper, pineapple, secret sauce), excellent service.
"Kebaya Ban Xeo had the appearance of Mexican fish tacos. Crispy folded wafers brimmed with shredded chicken, juicy bean sprouts, crispy tofu, dried shrimp and stir-fried vegetables. A tamarind sauce added the finishing tang to these beauties."
The restaurant only makes 2 dishes, but they make them perfectly! Ingredients are fresh, food is delicious and everything is super clean. The owners are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!
