Bajadera is a traditional nougat praline that's commercially produced by Kraš since 1954. The creamy nougat comes in two colors – two layers of brown hazelnut nougat at the top and bottom, and a creamy layer of almond nougat in the middle.
In the beginning, each small Bajadera was handmade and packed into luxurious chocolate boxes with other nougat desserts, but due to its unique flavor it was sold individually from 1954. The recipe is still protected, and the only thing that's known is that the hazelnuts and almonds are mixed with sugar in a special way and the darker nougat is combined with chocolate.
