"As I was born in Mallorca, I used to eat it a lot in the middle of winter, on Sundays and on very special occasions. The most important thing to get a very good Arròs Brut is to get fresh ingredients (both vegetables) and meat, as the broth must be thick and well seasoned. The spices are the secret, and local people could not reveal them, as they take them seriously as a real secret! The spices are also the key to this recipe. The ones needed are not very common in the rest of Spain either. So that would be the most difficult step in cooking Arròs Brut. Tip: It is best to google the recipe in Catalan and use a translator to find the REAL recipe."
