Quero Arepa

"For a quick lunch, we thought this place was an excellent sample of local cuisine. The arepas they sell on the street in Colombia are a bit too greasy for my taste, but this restaurant was a welcoming change. We tried a few off the menu, but the pineapple and ham combination was my favourite."

"One of the best places to hang out in town, Lulo gets it right with fresh juices, light healthy food, and a warm, easygoing vibe. The arepas never disappoint. There are plenty of vegetarian options too, and they serve good local coffee from the Sierra Nevada."

"Make a pilgrimage to Abasto to indulge in the creative breakfasts and delectable mains and desserts at this rustic-trendy restaurant. Inventive arepas (corn cakes)."

"A very nice place you can't leave off your list of places to eat the real arepas de huevo y jugo de corozo de Barranquilla. The breakfast staple here is their arepa de huevo with plenty of whey. Bueno-ní-si-mo!"

"Tuck into your favorite arepa (stuffed corn pancake) combo, a perfect sweet-corn cachapa or a filling plateful of BBQ meats at this cow-themed all-hours arepera (snack bar) near the Centro Comercial San Ignacio."

"One of the best budget meals near the Design District can be found at La Latina, a Venezuelan diner that's popular with Midtown locals and artsy transplants to the area. Cheese and avocado arepas (corn cakes) are a treat for vegetarians, but there's a lot of meat, rice, beans and sweet plantains filling out the menu."

"Arepa santandereana was excellent."

"Viva Las Arepas is the first Venezuelan restaurant in Vegas, and its authenticity is beyond reproach. Arepas are what most people come for. The most popular one is carne asada - pounded, marinated rib eye finished on hickory and charcoal, as are all meats here."

"Arepa is by far one of the most traditional “Paisa meals.” It makes an excellent base for an assortment of toppings, so your best bet when visiting J&C is to order an arepa and just let your imagination go wild."
