IWSC- International wine & spirit competition - Silver
2024
Amrut Bella Single Jaggery Indian Rum is a distinctive spirit produced by Amrut Distilleries in India. Crafted from local sugar cane sourced from Mandya, known as 'Sugar City,' the cane juice is carefully boiled over an open flame before undergoing double pot distillation.
This meticulous process amplifies its unique flavors. The rum is then matured for several years in ex-Bourbon casks, adding layers of vanilla and coconut notes that complement its high-toned cane profile. Bottled at 46% ABV, this rum offers a rich and complex tasting experience.
Amrut Distilleries, founded in 1948 and based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is a pioneering Indian spirits producer. Renowned for introducing India's first single malt whisky, Amrut Indian Single Malt, in 2004, the company has gained international acclaim for its innovation and quality.
